Spinning Silken Lines at Night

A woman holds a pen close to her lips and she is lost in thought. There is an orange-yellow light illuminating her face in the darkness. A candle is lit in front of her.

Spinning silken lines at night, I sew them into reveries with my ink. Tapped into Infinity hid behind my breath, my hands weave wisdom worth more than pearls. All the women I used to be— I feel them whispering through me now. All the notes they played— they wake with my call. Settling into the sisterhood within, I bound my soul, my spirit, my higher-self, to me. Breath by breath, word by word, my bloodline bellows freely. I’m an inventor, I’m an alchemist, I’m aligned with my intrinsic divinity.
